Private Pilot Program

Private Pilot Airplane

Enrollment Requirements

  • Minimum age is 16 years old.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must pass a third-class medical examination.

Curriculum

The Private Pilot Certification Training Course follows the curriculum outline in FAR Part 141, Subpart C, Appendix B, and consists of a minimum of 35 hours of flight training in a Diamond 20 or Cessna 172.

The FAA mandates a minimum of 35 hours of flight time. Most customers will require more time. The U.S. average is 70 hours, the Premier student average time is less than the US average.

Instrument Rating

  • Must hold a third-class medical certificate.

Curriculum

The Instrument Add-on Rating Training Course follows the curriculum outline in FAR Part 141, Subpart C, Appendix C, and consists of a minimum of 35 hours of flight training. The ESTIMATE below is based the FAA mandated minimum hours. Most customers will require more time than these minimums.

Note: Listed fees do not include the 50 hours of FAA required cross country time that is needed to apply for the Instrument Practical Test - required only if completing program under part 61 rules.


Commercial Certificate

Enrollment Requirements

  • Minimum age is 18 years old.
  • Must hold a Private Pilot Certificate with an Instrument rating
  • Must hold a third-class medical certificate.

Curriculum

The Commercial Certificate Program follows the curriculum outline in FAR Part 141, Subpart C, Appendix D, and may consist of up to 120 hours of flight training. The cost of this program may be greatly reduced if the applicant already has the cross-country, night, and total time requirement for the certificate. The actual program will be tailored to the needs and experience level of the applicant.

Multi-Engine Certificate

Enrollment Requirements

  • Minimum age is 17 years old.
  • Must hold a Private Pilot Certificate
  • Must hold a third-class medical certificate.

Curriculum

The Multi-Engine Rating Course follows the curriculum outline in FAR Part 141, Subpart C, Appendix I, and consists of a minimum of 15 hours of flight training. The Beech Duchess is used in this training program. An AATD (a type of simulator) is available to augment Beech Duchess training.

Curriculum

The Instrument Flight Instructor Rating course follows the curriculum outline in FAR Part 141, Subpart C, Appendix G, and consists of a minimum of 23 hours of flight training in an aircraft.
